I didn’t do any creative writing today, so I have no new character development for Britt or plotting in The Mile High Club series. Instead I spent the bulk of the day “adulting.” I handled some errands, paid some bills, and laid in the work to earn a little money working an extra hour on an editing project due at the end of next week (I’ll finish in plenty of time; I’m not rushed.)
Do you think there are benefits to taking a day off from creative writing? Sound off in the comments with your thoughts.

I myself write every day with no days off, but have taken the occasional decompression time to just take a break from life in general. Writing doesn’t feel like a task to me though (even though the dread of the blank page is always there), so maybe that’s why.

I don’t see it as a task but I make a point to make time for writing. Yesterday just could not make the time. Thanks for your thoughts! 👍🏼
