We Three + We Fit

Because We Three and We Fit should really be read together you’ll find information about both books on this page. I just split the plotline into two parts. ~ Lara

We Fit: We Three Together

Eric and Elena Tanner have been enjoying their lifestyle membership at the Club Caliente for years. Swinging fulfills their desire to meet new people and engage in group sex. When the new bartender, Jess, flirts with them and agrees to play in a threesome, Eric and Elena make plans for a single night of pleasure. All three are satisfied, so Jess is invited to come again. And again.

For months Elena, Jess, and Eric meet up for lots of sex, and dinners. There are casual nights in Netflix and chilling. It’s heady, addictive and no one wants it to end. However, they all know that’s the deal in the lifestyle. Swingers move out of each other’s lives all the time. Complication is the enemy. So what happens when they start to fall in love?

We Fit: We Three Together

Following the events of We Three, Jess hasn’t been in touch since Elena invited her to move in with them. Elena is determined to find out what went wrong with her proposal.

The attempt to reconnect reveals how much she, Jess, and Eric, all still have to learn about each other and making relationships like theirs work.

Facing obstacles at work and play, can they each achieve the happiness they want?

The Story behind the story:

The draft materials were a series of interconnected vignettes that started out pretty universally about the trios sexual escapades. Then, since I cannot for the life of me write just erotica, a context started sneaking in about the differences between swinging and polyamory, which both fall under the consensual/ethical non-monogamy umbrella.

A long-term couple who met through casual sex parties, Elena and Eric comfortably identify as swingers. Then they are both taken with Jess, the new bartender at their club. Banter, flirting, casual sex… Gradually, they become exclusive, turning down other regular partners in favor of spending more time with Jess. Dating her, something they generally didn’t do with others they met at the club. So what were they now?

Elena thinks it’s just as easy as asking Jess to move in with them. But there’s a lot more deconstruction, and communication, that needs to be done for that to be something that makes all three of them co-equal partners in their relationships.

All that material turned out to be too long for one book (seems to be a habit of mine). Since there were really two separate plot arcs: (1) swinging, and (2) transitioning into polyamory, that’s how I reworked it. To get the full impact of the character journeys though, you’ll want to be sure to read both We Three and We Fit.
